ABOUT THE FOUNDER
I have been in and around the healthcare industry for the past 20 years and I have seen many changes in that time but what has remained constant is the fact that the most vulnerable amongst us are still our elderly.
I am a married mother of three. I have lived and worked in the Houston area for the past 30 years. I am a registered nurse by profession and have worked extensively with the elderly in many capacities.
I have a passion for this particular population because I have learned so much from them and continue to learn everyday. We owe it to ourselves and our society to put more care and attention into how we care for our elderly population and hope that we will one day be in that honored group.
Many of the elderly in our community still make that difficult choice between having food or medicine. Many are homebound and are not able to perform basic activities of daily living on their own. Many do not have access to medical treatment, many have no family involved. This often leads to severe abuse and neglect and places their basic safety in jeopardy.
